Reviews and Ratings
The hotel was situated over the bar area and was down a steep hill, very close to the lake. The rooms, with a great shower, were right above where the music was, which was very loud up until 12 o'clock. The full English breakfast was to die for, and the stay offered a good shower experience.
This hotel was a mixed bag for me. On one hand, it's in a prime location very close to the lake, placing you right in the center of the action, but on the other hand, it overlooks the noisy bar area and might not be ideal if you're looking for a peaceful stay. The service was efficient, although I couldn't spot any management around. The food and drinks served at 9.25 were good and included local and seasonal products, but the dining area could use a bit more clarity on the menu. Overall, a decent stay with some room for improvement.
The hotel is ideally located near the lake and right in the center of Bowness, very convenient for exploring the area. The service was attentive, although management wasn't very visible. The dining experience offered a variety of cold items and assorted muffins. The old wardrobe in the room added character, but some may find it lacking modern amenities. Overall, a comfortable stay with easy access to everything you might need.
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The location was lively and close to the center of Bowness, but being situated over the bar area meant enduring loud partying till the early hours. The service seemed attentive, though the lack of visible management was noticeable. The included dining offered homemade cakes, which was a nice touch, but the limited cold items were a downside.
